My name is Stefani. I am 50’ish, single, and live with my parents in Oregon. I moved here 23 years ago when my life imploded somewhere else. I moved back to lick my wounds and put myself back together. But, I got a terrific job at a terrific company and never left.
I always assumed I would take care of my parents as they aged but I never thought it would be like this.
This blog is mostly therapeutic for me, but it makes me happy if someone else gets something out of it. I do not intend to disparage anyone but realize that as I write, I may do so. I am writing from my perspective, with my feelings and emotions. I am not perfect, I do not pretend to be. No one may even read this, I have no idea.
Also, I am not a dementia expert. I am not a doctor. If I make references to books, websites, treatments, etc. it is merely to express what has worked or not worked for us. I will include that information on the References tab if you want to learn more but please consult with your doctor before starting or ending any treatments for your loved one.
